ABOUT THE CROSSROADS
WELCOME!
Nominated for DeWitt’s “BUSINESS OF THE YEAR” in 2014 & 2017.
THE CROSSROADS opened June 20, 2011.
The Vintage Photo of DeWitt on our homepage reflects our historical heritage. The short video gives first time viewers an inside look.
THE CROSSROADS is at the intersection of two transnational highways. U.S. 30 linked Washington D.C. to San Francisco and U.S. 61 enabled travel from New Orleans to Duluth, MN.
“…the corner of Sixth Avenue & Tenth Street…once a constant hub of activity…was once a major bus stop for Greyhound lines between New York and Los Angeles.” (They Call Me Mr. DeWitt – A Treasury of Recollections by William D. Homrighausen, pg. 35-36. The DeWitt Observer Publishing Co. Inc.)
THE CROSSROADS is at the heart of DeWitt’s downtown district. Across the street in the park is the Rebuilt Hausbarn from Niebuell, Germany with an authentic Thatched Roof – housing a German Museum & the DeWitt Chamber & Development Company (DCDC). Visit their website at www.dewittiowa.org.
Meet Us at THE CROSSROADS. Be Inspired!
